Katapult Pay^™ is a virtual one-time use card that you can use for shopping at online stores in the US. Each time you create a one time use card with Katapult, you will receive a unique card number you can use at the store’s checkout. Each Katapult Pay^™ one-time card is generated after you sign your lease-purchase agreement with Katapult, which you can manage in your customer portal.

How to create your Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card

1. Visit our partner stores
   Shop with our Katapult Pay^™ partner brands and add leasable items to your cart as you normally would.
    
2. Apply for your Katapult lease-purchase agreement to access your Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card
   Proceed through the Katapult lease agreement fields to see your lease approval amount and agree to the terms and conditions of your lease.
   
   
3. Complete your Katapult lease agreement
   Simply confirm your lease agreement, then receive your Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card number.
   
   
4. Pay with your one-time use card
   When you are ready to complete your lease-purchase transaction, copy and paste the one-time use card information that popped up on your checkout screen. Enter the card number, expiration date, and CVV code to complete the transaction.

 

No worries – your lease agreement will only be for the cost of the durable goods in your cart. If you have been approved for a lease amount that is higher than your cart total, you can use the remaining amount for another lease purchase with any Katapult retailer by creating a new cart and opening a new lease agreement for the new items.

The Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card will expire if it is not used within 24 hours of generation. You will need to go through the lease approval process again to get a new Katapult Pay^™ card number if you do not use it as the checkout method the first time it shows up.

The decision to determine if you are qualified to open a lease with Katapult is based on an automated assessment.

We know it can be frustrating to be declined for a new lease application. However, our approval process helps us responsibly offer lease-purchase services to our customers.

Please understand that Katapult's Customer Service Team is not able to change the outcome of your approval decision.

You can use your Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card at the retailers we've listed above. You can also tell if Katapult Pay^™  is available by looking at the Katapult Pay^™ extension icon in your Chrome browser. When it turns pink, you can use Katapult Pay^™! If the retailer is not set up with Katapult Pay^™, the icon will be grey.

You will make your lease payments using the debit/credit card you provided in the application process and make payments on the payment schedule you arranged in the lease agreement you opened for your items. Don't worry, we'll send you helpful payment reminders to keep you on track!

After you’ve been approved for the Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card, you may be denied at checkout with a message that you cannot use the card at that store.

Make sure you've copied and pasted the card number, expiration date, and CVV correctly to the payment section on the checkout page.  

It may also happen for the below reasons:

• The items you're trying to lease are not leaseable items
• Katapult Pay^™ is not yet accepted at the store you're shopping
• The store wasn't able to process the Katapult Pay^™ one-time use card

1. If the item you purchased is replaced with the exact item and there is no price change, then you do not need to contact Katapult. 
2. If you complete a full return of the items originally purchased, you should request a refund back to your original payment method. The refund to your Katapult lease-purchase will be triggered within 7-10 business days.
3. If you complete a partial return and wish to keep some, but not all of the items that you originally purchased, you should request a refund back to the original payment method. The refund to your Katapult lease-purchase will be triggered within 7-10 business days. Once you refund the payment back to the original payment method, please contact Katapult Customer Service to update your lease agreement.
